Chapter 3

The Sisters Grimm-Fairytale Detectives By Michael Buckley

This book is about a tough girl named Sabrina and a spunky girl named Daphne. They lived in an orphanage for 1 year and went from foster families to the next  family. They meet an old lady that Sabrina is convinced is supposed to be dead. Then weird stuff happens like "fireflies" bite, a mysterious door and a giant that takes over the town. I enjoyed the book because it references famous tales and characters.  There are other books in this series: The Unusual Suspects, The Problem Child, Once Upon a Crime, Magic and Other Misdemeanors, Tales From the Hood, The Everafter War, and The Inside Story.  I heard there may be more books in the future. On the scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 9.  I recommend this book to people who like fairytales and mystery.   This is one of my favorite books. Enjoy! :)

Chapter 2

The Anybodies By N.E. Bode
This is a book about a girl named Fern. Fern lives with boring (with a capital B) parents. Then she found her real father.  Then Fern goes on an adventure with books, her grandma, and her mother.  I love this book because of the wonderful illustrations and descriptions.  The author used a lot of parentheses to write side thoughts.  In the book, I realized something interesting.  In The Anybodies the illustrations looked familiar to my other favorite book, a series called  The Sisters Grimm. Then I found out, it was illustrated by the same illustrator-Peter Ferguson! On a scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 7.  I recommend this book to people who love adventure and fairytale-like stories.

Chapter 1

Once upon a time there was a girl who loved to draw pictures and read books. One day she decided that she wanted to share her artwork and the books that she has read. So she created this!
